Fabulous Fig BUY

Ingredients

  • ½ package of puff pastry, thawed (or 1 sheet)
  • 1 (8oz) jar of Laura Ann’s Jams Fabulous Fig
  • 15 thin slices of ham
  • 1 cup of grated cheese (Manchego, Fontina or Mozzarella would all work)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

 

Directions

  1. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry to double its original size.
  2. Spread the jam onto the puff pastry and cover with ham and cheese.
  3. Roll up each side towards the middle so that they meet - this will make a log.
  4. Wrap in wax paper or saran wrap and chill for at least 45 minutes to firm up the puff pastry. This makes it easier to slice.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  6. Slice the roll into ½-inch pieces and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Beat the egg and water. Brush the mixture onto each slice.
  8. Bake for about 18 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve warm.
