Ingredients
- ½ package of puff pastry, thawed (or 1 sheet)
- 1 (8oz) jar of Laura Ann’s Jams Fabulous Fig
- 15 thin slices of ham
- 1 cup of grated cheese (Manchego, Fontina or Mozzarella would all work)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Directions
- Roll out the sheet of puff pastry to double its original size.
- Spread the jam onto the puff pastry and cover with ham and cheese.
- Roll up each side towards the middle so that they meet - this will make a log.
- Wrap in wax paper or saran wrap and chill for at least 45 minutes to firm up the puff pastry. This makes it easier to slice.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Slice the roll into ½-inch pieces and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and water. Brush the mixture onto each slice.
- Bake for about 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
