Jammin' With the Bands...in Chicago!

  Yep, that's me, back at my old stomping grounds in Chi-ca-go! There are many things I love about my hometown, and one of them is the annual two-day block party/festival at the Hideout. I was back there again the first week of September. I had an awesome spot for my booth; it felt like I was right backstage, with a birds-eye view of Neko Case, Mavis Staples, Superchunk, the Hold Steady and a bunch of other rockin' bands. Jam and jammin' — it was the best of both of my worlds!

L.A. Live May Mix-Off

May 22, 2013 Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer me on at L.A. Live’s first annual May Mix-Off at the JW Marriott. It was Week 4 of a five-week competition in which Los Angeles’ top bartenders created inventive cocktails highlighting the William Grant & Sons portfolio of handcrafted spirits and liquors. No, I didn’t win … but … I was a fan favorite, made a KILLER drink and got my parking validated. That counts as winning to me!
