My list of reasons to love Auntie Em's Kitchen just got a lot longer: The Auntie Em's Cookbook —A Musician's Guide to Breakfast & Brunch has just been published, AND ... Laura Ann's Jams are featured in the book!
Chef/owner/author Theresa Wahl comes from a punk background like I do (she played guitar, I played drums), and she pairs her recipes with playlists — 'cause food always tastes better when music is playing, right? Her food philosophy is also similar to mine: use the freshest, healthiest ingredients possible for the tastiest results.
I'll be taking part in a couple of events celebrating the cookbook: a book signing at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at Diesel bookstore (225 26th St., Santa Monica), and a cooking demonstration at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Vroman’s Bookstore (695 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena). Circle those dates on your calendar! And check out Auntie Em's website to learn more about the book as well as the cafe.
